Tucunaré

Tucunaré cames from the Indian word Tucun=Tree and Aré=amigo (friend of the tree), (Cichlaspp.) is a specie of fish present in the rivers of South America, in special in Brazil, Also known as Tucunaré-açu, Tucunaré-paca, Tucunaré-pinima, Tucunaré-pitanga, Tucunaré-vermelho or Tucunaré-pretinho.

Bicuda

Fish with scales, long body and round; Pointy and hard mouth, what makes the hooked harder. Dorsal fin located at the posterior middle of the body. The color pattern vary from specie to specie, being the B. ocellata the one which has a spot on the base of the caudal fin. The biggest ones can reach around 1meter length and weight 6kg.

Jaú

Leather fish, big size, can reach 1,5meter length and weight 100kg. Has a thick and short body; a big and flat head. The color pattern vary from light brown-green at the dorsal region, but the belly is white; young individuals has little dots on the dorsal region.
